Be Gentle with Yourself...

I have a confession...I prefer my paper planner. I grid it out with that week's appointments with my clients; my own appointments; birthdays, etc. But my favorite part is choosing from the huge collection of stickers I have to decorate it!

This week's sticker choice: "Be Gentle with Yourself; You're Doing the Best You Can." In general, I find people treat themselves pretty horribly. The old question of "Would you talk to a friend like that?" is usually followed with a sheepish, "No." I've asked people why they are so mean to themselves; often their answers involve some version of not wanting to think too highly of themselves. Let me say I have never received that answer from someone who have even the remotest chance of becoming someone full of themselves. Seriously...no chance.
